Milestone 2, the 1st ESCAPE General Assembly (E-GA) meeting was achieved on 8 February 2019 at CNRS-LAPP, Annecy, France. This meeting was a co-located event with the ESCAPE kickoff meeting on 7 February 2019. ESCAPE General Assembly is the ultimate decision-making body of the Consortium. During the first EGA meeting 29 out of 31 beneficiaries were represented. It was unanimously decided to invite representatives of the management boards of other ESFRI projects which are not a legal entity, namely EST, kM3NeT (but also HL-LHC and ELT) to attend the future E-GA meetings. During this meeting chair of the E-GA and the ESCAPE executive board (E-EB) were appointed unanimously. The ESCAPE management support team composed of the project manager, communication officer and the financial officers was announced. ESCAPE external expert advisory board (E-EEAB) members have been identified by the E-EB over the last six months. The nominees have accepted our request to be on the E-EEAB and their formal appointment has been confirmed.
