Aard Keimpema (b. 1978) studied theoretical physics, and computer science at the University of Groningen (RUG) where he obtained his PhD in 2008. After which he joined JIVE where he works as a scientific programmer. His main responsibilities involves the software correlator, the software used process the raw astronomical signals from an observation into a science ready interferometric dataset, as well as integrating the next generation astronomical post-processing software (CASA) into a modern Jupyter based frontend.
