Francesca-Calore.jpg

Francesca is a theoretical particle physicist by education and an astrophysicist by experience. Her research activity mostly deals with dark matter and how we look for it through astroparticle experiments.

After an MSc degree in Theoretical Physics at the University of Turin in October 2010, Francesca moved to Hamburg for her PhD studies and obtained her PhD degree in September 2013 (joint PhD with the University of Turin). She then worked for 3 years as postdoctoral fellow in GRAPPA, at the University of Amsterdam. In October 2016, she was hired as CNRS researcher and works since then in the astroparticle and cosmology group of the Laboratoire d’Annecy-le-Vieux de Physique Théorique (LAPTh).
