ESCAPE OSSR listed under re3data global registry of research data repositories

ESCAPE OSSR (Open-source scientific Software and Service Repository) is now listed in re3data, a global registry of research data repositories, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), which covers research data repositories from different academic disciplines. It includes repositories that enable permanent storage of and access to data sets to researchers, funding bodies, publishers, and scholarly institutions. The re3data is a tool for the easy identification of appropriate data repositories to store research data, which facilitates the permanent access to research data by the scientific community in the long term.

By having ESCAPE OSSR listed, it will expand its visibility to a worldwide audience and increase the possibility of further international collaborations related to research data repositories. It is an ESCAPE pioneer service that is an open-access repository to share scientific software and services to the science community and enable open science. Its focused on astro-particle-physics-related scientific software and services for data processing and analysis, as well as test data sets, user-support documentation, tutorials, presentations and training activities
