ESCAPE - The European Science Cluster of Astronomy & Particle Physics ESFRI Research Infrastructures has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement no. 824064.
The Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (Istituto nazionale Di Fisica Nucleare - INFN) has been developing open ICT innovative solutions for its own advanced needs of distributed computing and software applications. It has a remarkable excellence expertise on Grid and Cloud technologies, having fostered and participated, with leadership roles, to many of the large Projects financed by the EC that eventually led to the realization of the European Grid Infrastructure (EGI).
INFN has well established collaborations with the main international Research Centres involved in the development of ICT solutions for the scientific world and funds researches in High Energy Physics and in Astroparticle Physics.
