Yan Grange is involved in the development of software for the services that run in the ASTRON Science Data Centre (SDC). The goal of the SDC is to make the data produced by ASTRONs facilities accessible to researchers. Yan is also involved in the development of the SKA Regonal Centre Network, which will be responsible for providing users with access to the data coming out of the SKA telescope. He has been involved in several roles with the LOFAR Long-Term Archive (LTA) since 2012. Before  joining ASTRON, Yan was a PhD candidate at the Netherlands Institute for Space Research (SRON). Within ESCAPE Yan was deeply involved in the DIOS work package as the lead of the integration with compute task. 

Over  the years he has trained several dozens young scientists on software  development practices via the continued education divisions of France’s  CNRS, CEA and Ecole des Mines de Nantes. He was instructor of  computer networks for for engineering students at the Beijing University  of Aeronautics and Astronautics / Ecole Centrale de Pékin in Beijing  (China).

Mr. Hernandez received his BSc.  in computer science from University of Los Andes (Bogota, Colombia) and  his MSc. in computer science from University Lyon 1 (Lyon, France).
